Typical Swiss Countryside
The Verzasca Valley still conveys a part of the history of Ticino. The valley is located just minutes from the city center and yet is immersed in nature.
Not surprisingly, the Verzasca Valley and the sparkling river to which it owes its name ("green water") are popular holiday destinations. The Roman bridge (Ponte dei Salti) at Lavertezzo allows you to cross the river; It is a stone bridge with two arches of medieval origin and was rebuilt in 1960. The Verzasca Valley offers ways to cool off in its waters: for example in Lavertezzo and Brione Verzasca. The most popular places for scuba diving are the "Pozzo della Misura" and the "Pozzo dei Salti".
